Annal Nayyar blogs on reports that Lords revolt over academy plan

Plans in the Government’s Education Bill that would see all schools face “automatic academisation” if they are rated “inadequate” by Ofsted are set to be blocked by the House of Lords. The Independent on Sunday says that Labour peers will table an amendment to the Bill, giving parents, teachers and local councillors the power to block the school from having its status changed
