Annal Nayyar- blogs on additional funding for PE – primary Schools – Have you picked this up in your budgeting process?

Every state-funded school in the country with primary-aged pupils will receive additional funding from an overall allocation of £150m per year ring-fenced for sport and physical education (PE) in academic years 2013/14 and 2014/15. Schools with seventeen or more pupils will receive a lump sum of £8,000 with an additional sum of £5 per pupil; and schools with fewer than seventeen pupils will receive £500 per pupil. A typical primary school of 250 pupils will receive £9,250. Schools will receive their first year’s allocation in September.
