Annal Nayyar provides an update on Priority School Building Programme

On 1 May 2014, the Minister of State David Laws announced the Government’s plans for a second phase of the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP).

The new phase, to be valued at around £2 billion, will run over the next Spending Review period, from 2015 to 2021. The original Priority School Building Programme worked on the basis of the condition of the school site as a whole. The Minister announced that the new phase will now refine this to look at targeting individual school buildings, as well as whole school rebuilds where this is appropriate.
