Annal Nayyar – reports and alternative (NAHT) will launch an alternative school inspection programme in the autumn term

The National Association of Headteachers (NAHT) will launch an alternative school inspection  programme in the autumn term, which it says will improve pupils’ education. Members of NAHT believe the alternative to OfSTED will return innovation and responsibility to the classroom. Under the scheme, to be called Instead, heads will inspect other schools of similar size to their own away from their own locality, drawing on their knowledge of school leadership to provide feedback.
